✩ TEAM NICHOL ✩
We are a firm favourite with couples that don’t necessarily like being in front of the camera and who adore the idea of having more time to have fun and enjoy the celebrations with their guests, rather than posing for photos.
We have been specialising in photographing weddings in North East as well as throughout the UK and European destination weddings for many years, and have experience with worked with hundreds of couples. The best thing about being able to what we do, is being able to preserve the wonderfully unique memories that we are entrusted with. It’s a huge honour and one we are so thankful for and that will forever inspire us. Past couples write to us and give the most amazing testimonials and reviews, which shows our professionalism and very high level of consistent quality when delivering our North East wedding photography.
When deciding on the right wedding photographer in Newcastle or the North East for you, it’s important to consider what they offer. We pride ourselves on able to offer a fast service that delivers the complete wedding collection of photos & wedding day slideshow within a ten day turnaround. When comes to the wedding photography collection – if it’s a good, it stays in and you’ll get it! We would never limit on the amount of images that we supply to our couples. Our couples get to see the full story of the special day with professionally edited photos that don’t have watermarks and are ready for printing and sharing with family and friends. There’s no hidden costs and no further payments after the wedding.
90% of our approach to weddings is documentary and storytelling. My photojournalistic training & experience (Bio page), enable me to capture decisive moments, position myself in the right place at the right time whilst making the most of whats happening in front of me. I tend not to concentrate too much on details (i.e. decorated chairs, place settings) but more on the important interactions between you, your families and wedding guests. Not working from a ‘shot-list’ during the wedding timeline, enables me to be much more creative and preserve what is actually happening.
Aiming for 10% of the day to photograph the newlywed portraits & formal groups photos, allowing our couples to spend less time standing in front of the camera and more time celebrating with family and friends, which truly makes the best photos. There is always going to be more of an emotional tie to wedding images that capture the raw emotions, the relationships and amazing fun that happens when you bring two loving families together to become one.
If you are looking for a Newcastle wedding photographer please get in touch. We love working and building relationships with new people. We so very fortunate to have so many previous clients who would recommend me as the best North East wedding photographer for you, which is a reflection of all the hard work and commitment we put into your weddings. Being professional means much more to Veronica & I than just getting paid for our services. It's an attitude, a responsibility, it's about the right kind of communication and how you interact with people; it's about consistency of a service & product, but most importantly, it’s about being an honest and genuine person.
ELLIOT’S PHOTOGRAPHIC JOURNEY
PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHER SINCE 1998
“ For me, it was always going to be a natural progression to approach weddings in the same way as all my press photography experience has taught me, with storytelling.”
I've always had a creative eye, even as a small boy, constantly painting and drawing. After school I went straight on to Art School in Newcastle Upon Tyne and studied Graphic Design. I completed the 2 year course and then decided (much to my father’s frustration) I didn't want to pursue that particular artistic path. Instead I decided to study Photography because this subject was touched on during my design course. I enrolled on a part-time A level photography course and this is where I fell in love with the art form.
After my exams I was accepted on a photography course at Newcastle School of Art & Design where I studied full time for 2 years and finally graduated with a Higher National Diploma. It was there I received my first award from the NEPA (North East Press Awards) for best student photography. My photographic career continued shortly afterwards as a Trainee Press Photographer and over the years moved up to Senior Photographer within the Trinity Mirror group at the Newcastle Chronicle & Journal.
A large proportion of my career has been working as a Newspaper Photojournalist for regional and national newspapers in the UK. I have gained 20 years experience within the photographic industry and for some years now specialising as a full time Wedding Photographer.
HAVE YOUR STORY TOLD WELL
Don't risk these memories with anyone other than the perfect photographer for you, the moments, subtle glances, and all wonder of your wedding day is simply irreplaceable.
